నాన్న ఎప్పుడూ ఒంటరివాడే,
అమ్మా,పిల్లలూ ఒక్కటౌతుంటారు ఈ సృష్టిలో.

నాన్న ఎప్పుడూ తుంటరివాడే,
అమ్మమాత్రమే తరుచూ మంచిది అవుతూ ఉంటుంది,

పిల్లల దృష్టిలో.
కని,పెంచటం అమ్మేఅన్నట్లు కనిపిస్తుంది,
నాన్నబాధ్యత ఏమీ లేనట్టు అనిపిస్తుంది.

కనటం అమ్మేఅయినా కలలుకనటం నాన్న పనేనని
ఎంతమంది పిల్లలకు అర్ధమౌతుంది?

పెంచటం అమ్మే అయినా బాధ్యతెరిగి పెరగటం నాన్నవల్లేనని,
కొంతమంది పిల్లలకే బోధపడుతుంది.

సేవచేయటం అమ్మవంతు,
సరిచేయటం నాన్నతంతు.

అమ్మకు ఎప్పుడూ పిల్లలలోని గుణాలే కనబడుతాయి,
నాన్నకు మాత్రం పిల్లలలోని గుణాలతోపాటు
దోషాలుకూడా కనబడుతాయి.

A story about miracle in life

An eight-year-old child heard her parents talking about her little brother. All she knew was that he was very sick and they had no money left. They were moving to a smaller house because they could not afford to stay in the present house after paying the doctor's bills. Only a very costly surgery could save him now and there was no one to loan them the money.

When she heard her daddy say to her tearful mother with whispered desperation, 'Only a miracle can save him now', the little girl went to her bedroom and pulled her piggy bank from its hiding place in the closet. She poured all the change out on the floor and counted it carefully.

Clutching the precious piggy bank tightly, she slipped out the back door and made her way six blocks to the local drugstore. She took a quarter from her bank and placed it on the glass counter.

"And what do you want?" asked the pharmacist.

"It's for my little brother," the girl answered back. "He's really very sick and I want to buy a miracle."

"I beg your pardon?" said the pharmacist.

"His name is Andrew and he has something bad growing inside his head and my daddy says only a miracle can save him. So how much does a miracle cost?"

"We don't sell miracles here, child. I'm sorry," the pharmacist said, smiling sadly at the little girl.

"Listen, I have the money to pay for it. If it isn't enough, I can try and get some more. Just tell me how much it costs."

In the shop was a well-dressed customer. He stooped down and asked the little girl, "What kind of a miracle does you brother need?"

"I don't know," she replied with her eyes welling up. "He's really sick and mommy says he needs an operation. But my daddy can't pay for it, so I have brought my savings".

"How much do you have?" asked the man.

"One dollar and eleven cents; but I can try and get some more", she answered barely audibly.

"Well, what a coincidence," smiled the man, "A dollar and eleven cents - the exact price of a miracle for little brothers."

He took her money in one hand and held her hand with the other. He said, "Take me to where you live. I want to see your brother and meet your parents. Let's see if I have the kind of miracle you need."

That well-dressed man was Dr Carlton Armstrong, a neurosurgeon. The operation was completed without charge and it wasn't long before Andrew was home again and doing well.

"That surgery," her mom whispered, "was a real miracle. I wonder how much it would have cost."

The little girl smiled. She knew exactly how much the miracle cost ... one dollar and eleven cents ... plus the faith of a little child.

Perseverance can make miracles happen! Miracle can come in various forms - as a doctor, as a lawyer, as a teacher, as a police ,as a friend, as a stranger and many others..

A river cuts the rock not because of its power, but because of its consistency.

Positivity of life

The other day I was preparing fresh lime water for the first time.
I ended up adding five times the amount of lemon than needed. It was a d isaster!!
It tasted so sour that one sip of it would have been enough to make a dinosaur dance. I had to correct it anyhow.

How I wish I could remove some lemon juice from water to make it taste perfect again! But alas! Some things can never be undone.
Some things can never be changed.

There was no way to remove the extra lime.
So what was the solution then?
The only way to correct this was to add four more glasses of water and dilute the lemon juice to make five glasses of fresh lime water.

This made me think...
Sometimes we cannot undo some things that have gone wrong in life.
Some wrong decisions, wrong choices, wrong investments, wrong actions, wrong associations, wrong words or wrong doings can never be undone.

So what is the solution then?
When you cannot correct what is wrong, do not waste more time over it.
It is like attempting to remove lemon from water.
Instead, get busy in adding so many right things in your life that the wrong seems insignificant.

We all have a negative side to ourselves.
We may not be able to remove or correct all our negativities. But we can definitely continue adding positive thoughts, positive reading and positive people in our lives and dilute the negativity.

We all have to deal with some easy people and some difficult people in our lives.
Do not waste time trying to change the difficult people. You will drain all your emotional energy in vain.
Instead spend more time with the pleasant positive happy people and the difficult people will not affect you any more.

We all have been through lows in life and we cannot change that.
But if we now add new highs in life, we will dilute the lows, isn’t it?

In the end life will seem ‘mostly high’.
We all have scars in life.
We all have been through some pain in life.
We all have made mistakes in life.

We all have unfulfilled dreams, unanswered prayers.

We cannot remove these bitter memories from life but we could get busy making new happy memories now.

Everything in your life will never be perfect.
Do not waste too much time correcting what is wrong.
Get busy doing the right things.👍🏻😊

40 ఏళ్ళ వ్యక్తి ఒకరికి "నల్లేరు మీద బండి నడక" అంటే అర్థం తెలీదట.
ఇంకొకరికి ఒపీనియన్ అనే మాటకు తెలుగు పదం తెలీదు. గూగుల్ లో పని చేసే ఇంజనీర్ కి "పిక్సెల్" అంటే తెలీదు. ఫొటోగ్రఫీ నాకు భయంకరమైన హాబీ అని చెప్పినామెకు "జెపెగ్"అంటే తెలీదు.

నూటపది క్విజ్ లలో ప్రైజులొచ్చాయని చెప్పిన ఒకరికి "తియాన్మెన్ స్క్వేర్ " ఎక్కడుందో తెలీదు. కాబట్టి అక్కడేం జరిగిందో ఎందుకు జరిగిందో వాళ్లకి తెలుసేమో అని ఆశ అక్కర్లేదు

దేశ నాయకుల్లో గాంధీ నెహ్రూ మహా అయితే ఈ మధ్య పటేల్, ఇంతకు మించి ఎవరూ తెలీదు.

చేగెవారా టీ షర్టులు నాలుగైదు డిజైన్స్ లో వార్డ్ రోబ్ లో ఉంటాయి గానీ వాడెవరో పాపం, ఏ దేశం, అసలేం చేసి టీ షర్టులకెక్కాడు..ఇవన్నీ అనవసరం

ఇహ పురాణాలు పుస్తకాలు ఇతిహాసాల సంగతి ఎత్తక్కర్లేదు. దశరధుడికి ఊర్మిళ ఏమౌతుందో, కృష్ణుడి మేనత్త ఎవరో, కర్ణుడిని పెంచిన తల్లెవరో, దశావతారాల్లో నాల్గోది ఏదో.. ఇవన్నీ పూర్తిగా ఫ్రెంచ్ అండ్ లాటిన్!!

ఇహ సాహిత్యం పరిచయమే లేదు. కావ్యాలు కవులు సంగతి అలా ఉంచి, నిన్న మొన్నటి శ్రీ శ్రీ ఏం రాశాడో కూడా తెలీదు. మహా అయితే వీళ్లకి చంద్ర బోస్ , సీతారామ శాస్త్రి తెలుస్తారు. అది కూడా వాళ్ళు తరచూ టీవీ స్క్రీన్ మీద కనిపిస్తుంటారు కాబట్టి. వాళ్ళే పాట రాశారో నాలుగు ఆన్సర్లు, మూడు లైఫ్ లైన్లు ఇంకా కొన్ని క్లూలు ఇస్తే కనుక్కుంటారేమో!

వీళ్ళలో చాలా మందికి చదువులో హయ్యెస్ట్ మార్కులు మార్కులు వస్తాయట. కొంతమంది గ్రూప్స్ కి ప్రిపేర్ అవుతున్నామని చెప్తారు. వాళ్ల మీద కొంత ఆశ పెట్టుకుందాం అంటే... ఉహూ.. లాభం లేదు! వాళ్ళూ అంతే!

ఉద్ధ్యోగానికి పనికొచ్చే చదువులు కావాలని నినాదాలు చేసి చేసి.. చివరికి ఉజ్జోగం గురించి తప్ప ఇక దేని గురించీ అవగాహన లేకుండా.. ఇలా ఉన్నారేంటి? అనిపించక మానదు.

ఇవన్నీ తెలీక పోవడం నేరమో ఘోరమో కాదు!
కాల క్రమేణా "నాలెడ్జ్" అనే పదానికి అర్థం ఎలా మారి పోతూ వచ్చిందో గమనిస్తే విస్మయం!

"ఇతర పుస్తకాలు చదవడం"అనేది ఇండియాలో పిల్లల/విద్యార్థుల జీవితాల్లోంచి దాదాపుగా అదృశ్యమై పోయింది. న్యూస్ పేపర్ చదవడం అసలే లేదనుకుంటా. న్యూస్ చానెల్స్ లోనా అర్నబ్ గోల కోసమో, టీవీ9 పోలీసులకంటే ముందే ఛేదించిన కేసు కోసమో చూస్తున్నామాయె!

వ్యవసాయం అంటే తెలీదు. రైతుల ఆత్మ హత్యల గురించి వార్తలు వస్తున్నాయి కాబట్టి అది తెలుస్తుంది గానీ దానికి మూల కారణాలేవంటే అవగాహన లేదు.అసలు రబీ, ఖరీఫ్ అంటే తెలీదు. అమరావతి లో రియల్ ఎస్టేట్ రేట్స్ బాగున్నాయని తెలుస్తుంది మళ్ళీ!

చదివి నేర్చుకుని గుర్తు పెట్టుకునే ఆగత్యం ఎవరికీ లేదిప్పుడు! అవసరం పడితే గూగుల్ చేయడం సులువైన పని!

అసలు పదో తరగతి వరకూ హిస్టరీ అనే సబ్జెక్ట్ ఉందా, రాజ్యాంగం గురించి , పార్లమెంట్, ఫండమెంటల్ రైట్స్, లెజిస్లేచర్, ఫెడరేషన్, ఇంటర్నేషనల్ ట్రీటీస్, ఐక్య రాజ్య సమితి, సెక్యూరిటీ కౌన్సిల్ ఇలాటి అంశాలు సిలబస్ లో ఉన్నాయో లేవో మరి!!

పల్లెలు, టౌన్ ల నుంచి వచ్చే పిల్లలు సిటీ విద్యార్థుల కంటే మెరుగైన కామన్ సెన్స్ ని, పరిణతిని, ఆలోచనా విధానాన్ని, చుట్టూ ఉన్న సమాజం గురించి కొంత పరిజ్ఞానాన్ని కల్గి ఉంటున్నారు ఈ షోలో! పోయినవారం వచ్చిన ఒక బి టెక్
విద్యార్థి (రాయల సీమ నుంచి వచ్చాడు) "ఇండియాలో అరబ్స్ నిర్మించిన మొదటి మసీదు ఏ రాష్ట్రంలో ఉంది" అనే ప్రశ్నకు జవాబు తెలీకుండా, ఎలిమినేషన్ ప్రాసెస్ అద్భుతంగా చేసి జవాబు కనిపెట్టాడు!

గ్రామాల నుంచి , టౌన్ ల నుంచి వచ్చే వాళ్లకి సామెతలు తెలుసు,వాడుక లో ఉన్న జాతీయాలు తెల్సు, బాంకింగ్ సర్వీసులు, వాళ్ళ ప్రాంతానికి సంబంధించిన సమస్యల పట్ల అవగాహన ఉంటుంది. సిటీవిద్యార్థులు చాలా మందికి సొంత వూరు ఎక్కడుందో తెల్సినా అదొక వెకేషన్ పాయింట్ మాత్రమే కావడం వల్లనేమో..ఏమీ తెలీదు.

కిరణ చక్రవర్తుల అన్నట్టుగా తెలీని ప్రశ్నకు జవాబు ఎప్పుడైనా తెలిస్తే (నిజానికి దాన్ని జన్మలో మర్చిపోలేం) "ఓ అవునా

హిస్టరీ, సాహిత్యం, సంస్కృతి, పొలిటికల్ సైన్స్ ఇవన్నీ చదువుకునే రోజుల్లో బోరింగ్ గానే ఉండొచ్చు. కానీ అవి జీవన వికాసానికి మార్గాలు! మెదడు మనసుల తలుపుల్ని తెరిచే దార్లు!

సోషల్ స్టడీస్, సాహిత్యం ,సంస్కృతి , సొసైటీ ఇలాటివి చదవడం వల్ల ఉద్యోగాలు రాక పోవచ్చు. కానీ దృక్పథాలు విశాలం అవుతాయి. జీవితం లో సౌందర్యం అనుభవం అవుతుంది. మెదడే కాక మనసొకటి ఉందనే విషయం అవగతమౌతుంది.

ఆకలి రాజ్యంలో కమల్ హాసన్ లాగా "ఈ నాలెజ్ వల్ల మాకేం ఒరుగుతుంది? మాకు ఉజ్జోగాలు ఇచ్చే చదువులే కావాలి" అని పోజు పెడితే...

A good lesson:

After the dinner a school teacher started checking homework done by the students. Her husband was strolling around with a smart phone playing his favourite game ‘Candy Crush Saga’.

When reading the last note, the wife start crying with silent tears.

Her husband saw this and asked, ‘Why are you crying dear? What happened?’

Wife: ‘Yesterday I gave homework to my students, to write something on the topic - 'My Wish’

Husband: ‘OK, but why are you crying?’

Wife: ‘The last note makes me cry

Husband curiously: ‘What’s written in the note that makes you cry?’

My wish is to become a smart phone.

My parents love smart phone very much.

They care smart phone so much that sometimes they forget to care for me.

When my father comes from office tired, he has time for smart phone but not for me.

Reaction VS Response

Suddenly, a cockroach flew from somewhere and sat on a lady. I wondered if this was the cockroaches response to all the glory that was spoken about it!

She started screaming out of fear. With panic stricken face and trembling voice, she started jumping, with both her hands desperately trying to get rid of the cockroach. Her reaction was contagious, as everyone in her group got cranky to what was happening. The lady finally managed to push the cockroach to another lady in the group.

Now, it was the turn of the other lady in the group to continue the drama. The waiter rushed forward to their rescue. In the relay of throwing, the cockroach next fell upon the waiter. The waiter stood firm, composed himself and observed the behaviour of the cockroach on his shirt. When he was confident enough, he grabbed and threw it out with his fingers.

Sipping my coffee and watching the amusement, the antenna of my mind picked up a few thoughts and started wondering, was the cockroach responsible for their histrionic behaviour? If so, then why was the waiter not disturbed? He handled it near to perfection, without any chaos.

It is not the cockroach, but the inability of the ladies to handle the disturbance caused by the cockroach that disturbed the ladies.

I realised even in my case then, it is not the shouting of my father or my boss that disturbs me, but its my inability to handle the disturbances caused by their shouting that disturbs me. Its not the traffic jams on the road that disturbs me, but my inability to handle the disturbance caused by the traffic jam that disturbs me. More than the problem, its my reaction to the problem that hurts me.

The Take-Away : The women reacted, whereas the waiter responded.

We should not react in life, we should always respond. Reactions are always instinctive whereas responses are always intellectual

Never Quit

Never Quit... A small story

One day I decided to quit... I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my life. I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.

"God", I said.


"Can you give me one good reason not to quit?" His answer surprised me... "Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"

"Yes", I replied.

"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed.

But I did not quit on the bamboo. In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And again, nothing came from the bamboo
seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said.

In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I would not quit.

In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would not quit. He said.

"Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant...But just 6 months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall. It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."

He said to me. "Did you know that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots?" "I would not quit on the bamboo. I will never quit on you."

"Don't compare yourself to others." He said. "The bamboo had a different purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful."

"Your time will come", God said to me. "You will rise high"

"How high should I rise?" I asked.

"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.

"As high as it can?" I questioned.

"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."

I left the forest and came back with this story.

I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.

OBITUARY

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has
been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his
birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape..
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets the
worm; Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend
more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children,
are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but
overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy
charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended
from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for
reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the
job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly
children.

It declined even further when schools were required to get parental
consent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student; but could
not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an
abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses;
and criminals received better treatment than their victims.

Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a
burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to
realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in
her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.

Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by
his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son,
Reason.
He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers:

Root Cause Analysis

An Interesting Customer Complaint

This is a real story that happened between the customer of General
Motors and its customer-care executive. A complaint was received by
the Pontiac Division of General Motors: This is the second time I
have written to you, and I don't blame you for not answering me,
because I sounded crazy, but it is a fact that we have a tradition in
our family of ice cream for dessert after dinner each night. But the
kind of ice cream varies, so every night, after we've eaten the whole
family votes on which kind of ice cream we should have and I drive
down to the store to get it.

It's also a fact that I recently purchased a new Pontiac and since
then my trips to the store have created a problem. You see, every time
I buy a vanilla ice cream, when I start back from the store my car
won't start.

If I get any other kind of ice cream, the car starts just fine.

I want you to know I'm serious about this question, no matter how
silly it sounds: "What is there about a Pontiac that makes it not
start when I get vanilla ice cream, and easy to start whenever I get
any other kind?"

The Pontiac President was understandably skeptical about the letter,
but sent an engineer to check it out anyway. The latter was surprised
to be greeted by a successful, obviously well educated man in a fine
neighborhood. He had arranged to meet the man just after dinnertime,
so the two hopped into the car and drove to the ice cream store. It
was vanilla ice cream that night and, sure enough, after they came
back to the car, it wouldn't start.

The engineer returned for three more nights. The first night, they got
chocolate. The car started. The second night, he got strawberry. The
car started. The third night he ordered vanilla. The car failed to
start.

Now the engineer, being a logical man, refused to believe that this
man's car was allergic to vanilla ice cream. He arranged, therefore,
to continue his visits for as long as it took to solve the problem.
And towards this end he began to take notes, he jotted down all sorts
of data: time of day, type of gas used, time to drive back and forth
etc. In a short time, he had a clue: the man took less time to buy
vanilla than any other flavor. Why? The answer was in the layout of
the store. Vanilla, being the most popular flavor, was in a separate
case at the front of the store for quick pickup. All the other
flavors were kept in the back of the store at a different counter
where it took considerably longer to check out the flavor. Now, the
question for the engineer was, why the car wouldn't start when it took
less time. Once time became the problem and not the vanilla
ice-cream, the engineer quickly came up with the answer: "Vapor
lock". It was happening every night; but the extra time taken to get
the other flavors allowed the engine to cool down sufficiently to
start. When the man got vanilla, the engine was still to hot for the
vapor lock to dissipate.

Remember: Even crazy-looking problems are sometimes real and all
problems seem to be simple only when we find the solution with a cool
thinking.

LINDA's Bar

LINDA's Bar

Linda is the proprietor of a bar in Cork . In order to
increase sales, she decides to allow her loyal customers - most of whom are
unemployed alcoholics - to drink now but pay later.

She keeps track of the drinks consumed on a ledger (thereby granting the
customers loans).

Word gets around and as a result increasing numbers of customers flood into
Linda's bar. Taking advantage of her customers' freedom from immediate
payment constraints, Linda increases her prices for wine and beer, the
most-consumed beverages. Her sales volume increases massively.

A young and dynamic customer service consultant at the local bank recognizes
these customer debts as valuable future assets and increases Linda's borrowing
limit. He sees no reason for undue concern since he has the debts of the
alcoholics as collateral. At the bank's corporate headquarters, expert
bankers transform these customer assets into DRINKBONDS, ALKBONDS and
PUKEBONDS. These securities are then traded on markets worldwide.

No one really understands what these abbreviations mean and how the securities
are guaranteed. Nevertheless, as their prices continuously climb, the
securities become top-selling items.

One day, although the prices are still climbing, a risk manager (subsequently
of course fired due to his negativity) of the bank decides that slowly the time
has come to demand payment of the debts incurred by the drinkers at Linda's
bar. However they cannot pay back the debts.

Linda cannot fulfill her loan obligations and claims bankruptcy. DRINKBOND
and ALKBOND drop in price by 95 %. PUKEBOND performs better, stabilizing in
price after dropping by 80%.

The suppliers of Linda's bar, having granted her generous payment due dates and
having invested in the securities are faced with a new situation. Her wine
supplier claims bankruptcy, her beer supplier is taken over by a competitor.

The bank is saved by the Government following dramatic round-the-clock
consultations by leaders from the governing political parties (and vested
interests). The funds required for this purpose are obtained by a tax levied on
the non-drinkers.

What is the right decision?

A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use

while the other disused. Only one child played on the disused track, the

rest on the operational track.




The train is coming, and you are just beside the track interchange. You can

make the train change its course to the disused track and save most of the

kids. However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the disused

track would be sacrificed. Or would you rather let the train go its way?





Let's take a pause to think what kind of decision we could make........

Most people might choose to divert the course of the train, and sacrifice

only one child. You might think the same way, I guess. Exactly, to save most

of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most

people would make, morally and emotionally. But, have you ever thought that

the child choosing to play on the disused track had in fact made the right

decision to play at a safe place?



Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who

chose to play where the danger was. This kind of dilemma happens around us

everyday. In the office, community, in politics and especially in a

democratic society, the minority is often sacrificed for the interest of the

majority, no matter how foolish or ignorant the majority are, and how

farsighted and knowledgeable the minority are. The child who chose not to

play with the rest on the operational track was sidelined. And in the case

he was sacrificed, no one would shed a tear for him.



The great critic Leo Velski Julian who told the story said he would not try

to change the course of the train because he believed that the kids playing

on the operational track should have known very well that track was still in

use, and that they should have run away if they heard the train's sirens..

If the train was diverted, that lone child would definitely die because he

never thought the train could come over to that track! Moreover, that track

was not in use probably because it was not safe. If the train was diverted

to the track, we could put the lives of all passengers on board at stake!

And in your attempt to save a few kids by sacrificing one child, you might

end up sacrificing hundreds of people to save these few kids.



While we are all aware that life is full of tough decisions that need to be

one. *
